Paul Reddon
Paul Reddon has been fronting rock bands since 1989 including bands such as Infinity, No Pets Aloud, Poptart Monkeys, Well Of Souls (with original members of Harpo and Dirty Looks), and his current project Yada Yada Yada. His influences are strictly Steve Perry (Journey) and Steven Tyler (Aerosmith). His vocal range is very, very versatile and he's always discovering new limits and heights to reach comfortably within himself.
Although his biggest claim to fame, so to speak, was Pennsylvanias own Poptart Monkeys, He credits everyone hes ever played with in getting to where he is and has been in the past. He says,"If it wasnt for guys like Dave Danishefsky, Damon Shaheen, Jim Lovcik, and Rob Hampton, I would have never gotten to see all the different places all over the country I saw, while a PTM member, and would never have the family I have now. I actually met my wife during a tour in the south with PTM and, if it wasnt for those guys, I would never have met her."
Having played on 2 full-length albums with PTM (One of them, the first album, included Dave Danishefsky), he's made quite a name for himself across the entire PA music scene! He says he was extremely honored to get a phone call from Dave, a few months back, to play on his album. "I've been out of touch with him for a few years and when he called me I was so happy to be asked to be a part of this. Dave has been through 'Hell and back' over the last year and to be apart of something that means so much to him is an extreme honor among all of us musicians who know each other, have played together, and who love each other as brothers would."
Although pushing 40 this April, he isnt slowing down at all and has ALOT of Rock n' Roll left in him. He says, before he quits, he'd like to see a Poptart Monkey reunion happen, for at least a handful of shows, along with the original members who obviously were a major part of their success. Paul says, "Things happen for a reason and everybody knows that. The bands success happened for a reason as did Dave's accident on March 14th, 2008. Dave's accident was incredibly bad and he almost lost his life because of it. But you look at a strong-willed individual, such as Dave, and you think 'there's no way this wonderful person could leave us so soon'...and we were all correct." He adds, "Dave not only has a lot of music left in him to give, but also a lot of love to give because of what he went through." Paul also goes on to say that "Having the opportunity to be a part of his life as both a bandmate and friend is more than most musicians usually get. Dave is a real hero to all of us and, if I'm lucky, I'll get to play with him again..SOON!"
